He's a Poet, and His Feet Show It -- They're Longfellows Frank Zappa literari would be interested to learn that Frank helped me with my in-class dramatic reading of "The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere" (by Longfellow).  We were always assigned things with a patriotic motif at that school, especially in summer school drama classes near national holidays.

"To arms, to arms" (Frank underscored that with his finger when he read it out loud with me, and he used a sad voice ...  The Russian-US Missile Crisis was growing .... you'll hear that line now in some of his songs ....

A single line of poetry can be lifted and taken elsewhere and used in different ways with a new contextual intent .... it depends on the compositional intent of the new poet, you see. 

Chances are good, there aren't any Russian-US military build ups going on right now any place in the world, are there?  Not that anybody notices, at least, with all the other crises begging for our attention.
