Best interchange between disgruntled reader and offending press I've read all morning takes place in a letter to the editor exchange:
"I suppose that for many pop-culture consumers -- and even for some music journalists -- music is just the noise in the background that happens when you go out to drink. For most real musicians and music lovers, however, music is as close as we're going to get to the divine in this life.
