Since our beloved blisshog has mentioned hipness, beatniks, and daddios in a way that finds a certain resonance in the core of my being, reminding me of an alternative to the usual literary suspects of that era, which is to be found in Kenneth Patchen's
Journal of Albion Moonlight. The longterm memory of which is still so very pleasant, I can suggest this reading for any turk young or old, or indeed to any who believe themselves members of any lost generation.
