GIRLS TALK
I wonder what happened to old things, now and again. That imported EP I had that collected all three foreign language versions of David Bowie's "Heroes" ... that's gone, and just a memory now, though I remember the songs were in English, German, and French.
But this morning I wonder if Linda Ronstadt still has that cassette of Elvis Costello, with him singing "Girls Talk". He had a wonderfully fractured voice, almost like Buddy Holly, as he ran up and down the notes to sing, "Girl Talk". But the Dave Edmunds one, now THAT was the version! He got the rolling Holly and Crickets guitar into it. Nuevo Wavo.
