I was so lucky counting back three days ago when I went for my results, and the flags flew all along Main Street. I stumbled into a place that had a real soda fountain, only one of two in the whole county still in functioning in real time existence and I had a chocolate egg creme! Reminded me of the time in 1969 I encountered Marc Hummel
(blues harmonicist and blues rock composer and performer extraordinaire) at a deli on Shattuck in Berkeley, the one that served the chocolate egg cremes and celery spritzers. He had taken his client with him for a soda, the fella was a very old man by then and Marc helped care for him. I could tell Marc had listened to the same sort of records that Frank and I had, all those many years previous. Then after my more recent egg creme, I ran into a lady who invited me to her horse ranch to meet the Andalusians. I am one lucky girl sometimes!
